  I had popped in to say goodbye to some friends but recall staying in this hostel while working on the Winery tour some years prior so will review from thst standpoint. This is a nicely tucked away hostel that served its purpose perfectly for a spot to sleep at all hours as my crew had odd work hours. It has a lovely garden area and spacious living area (although full at time I saw my friends). This is the ideal spot to be if you'd want to be away from town but also a easy walk/cycle of want to be in the city centre. Unsure if they still have them in the bedroomd/dorms but at the time i stayed There, they had interesting switch placement which had has me wonder if this was a rest home or similar prior...in any case, I had a grand time there and it seems to still be thst way with friends going back to that hostel after camping at WOMAD.

  Owners are friendly rooms comfortable and clean. Would stay there again

  + helpful staff + affordable - not the most modern of places - tight parking spots

  Great location, very close to town and Pukekura Park. Nice clean rooms, well serviced. Lovely friendly people. Would happily stay again.
