  Comfortable room. Fire alarm went off at 10.30pm and hotel had to be evacuated. Turned out to be a false alarm.

  Lots of history with this place and associated character. Stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms which was very nicely done. Friendly staff, clean rooms, great location...

  "Breakfast now on" was the sign we saw as we drove past. I had the eggs Benedict which was delicious and generous. He had the poached eggs and bacon. We loved the atmosphere - highly recommended!

  Lovely old hotel. Very pleasent and helpful staff. Smells a tad musty in hallways. Loved the huge rooms.
