  We rented a small suv for our 6 day holiday in Southland, (based in Invercargill) over the Easter weekend. They gave us a Mitsubishi Outlander, and to my surprise, this turned out to be a great car. (I had been expecting to get a Toyota RAV 4). The Mitsubishi outlander was very spacious and very comfortable to drive, and for passengers front and rear. It was also a true four wheel drive. The service at budget for both pick up and drop off was good too.

  Fantastic experience, not just with this branch during our vehicle drop off but also with the branches in downtown Auckland and at the ferry terminal in Picton. The staff went the extra mile to make sure that we got what we wanted and had the best experience. The representative in Invercargill was extremely pleasant and even stored 2 small pieces of luggage for 5 days (between rentals). Communication, on the phone, with her were wonderful. The vehicle was in immaculate condition, new and very fuel efficient for the size (Mazda 3 with the I-stop feature). Thank you for the pleasant experience.
