  Lovely stop on our way to Whanganui. Friendly staff and quaint outdoor seating area. I was suffering from a sore throat when we stopped through and they were very accommodating offering me extra honey, lemon and even a to-go cup of extra hot water for the drive.

  The cafe has become a regular eating spot on our Whanganui trips. Nice coffee, nice food and friendly staff. Weĺl worth the trip up river from the city. Great outdoor spaces to enjoy your meal.

  Kitchen was closed (at 2:30pm) so we were left with what was left in the cabinet. Ended up paying Wellington prices for distinctly average food ($47 for 3 pies, a sausage roll and 4 soft drinks). The lady behind the counter has a definite attitude and made us feel very unwelcome. A shame, as the garden seating area is beautiful and should be an enjoyable place to eat. We gave this place the benefit of the doubt after our first visit but the second was an exact repeat. We won't be making the same mistake again.
