::You better check operating time if you can 😂 It's not operating 24hours and no information you can find online.

::Beautiful to view at night with the alternating coloured lights ... we often stroll along the beachfront with a coffee and enjoy the view as the walkway is lined with trees that are decorated with lights of their own and the fountain in the water constantly changing colours ... it's a lovely addition to Wellington...!

::CMF is located in the harbour and is best viewed from Oriental Parade, say around the "Rotunda" site. It shoots high and its lighting cycles through the rainbow colour spectrum but this display runs only at very specific times depending on the day of the week. CMF can be spotted from the Wellington Waterfront at night during this display and with the right lenses you could capture some nice shots as a souvenir if you're on tour, especially as it is an iconic landmark of the Bay's horizon. Some boaties seem to enjoy cruising or hanging around this fountain up close. (For fountain-lights' display times check out Alex's review).
