  My sister and I were heading to the Bay of Plenty for a few days, leaving straight after work on Friday 23 August. We decided we needed to overnight somewhere, rather than drive straight through in the dark, and chose the Celtic Motel in Foxton for two reasons - the positive reviews and its location away from SH1. We were thrilled with our choice. We received a warm welcome on arrival, our unit was comfortable and warm, it was well-stocked with all the essentials, our beds were very comfortable and there was no traffic noise. The only negative was the poor design of the shower which sprayed water towards the toilet when turned-on. We quickly decided to forgo showers when we discovered the problem. Despite this one issue, we both agreed we would stay at the Celtic Motel again.

  The room was lovely and clean, the beds were warm and comfy and the hosts were lovely. Would definately come back

  Awesome one night stay, everything was neat, tidy and clean and a lovely layout and the proprietor couldn’t have been more lovely.

  Lovely friendly staff and immaculately presented Motel in a very quiet location. The only nit picky gripe I have is the shower I think has a water saving head so the pressure was low. Over all this is a great little Motel which is hard to find fault with.
