  Not a good experience here with a 17yo cat with kidney failure and a kidney infection. It was clearly time to put the cat down. The vet wanted to try overnight rehydration and 10 days of antibiotics morning and night. This was torture for the cat and the owner. It ended up hating me. Lakes of cat urine in the house. 2 days after the antibiotics the infection was back and it had to be taken to an after hours vet to be put down. $600 in vet bills. I predicted this would happen as the sister cat also had a $600 demise. I wouldn't take a pet here to get it put down ever again. Very unhappy.

  Had my dog spayed here two weeks ago. Dave phoned me personally to tell me how it went. Tiny cut. I was very impressed. Staff very helpful when I phoned with a follow up question. Knew my dog was in excellent, caring hands.

  The team at Central Hutt Vet is great with our guys, always happy to help solve an issue and talk through options if we need to! Very easy to talk to and happy to sort out problems for us
