::These guys are worse to deal with, got apartment from them for 1 year contract, when we moved in there's was an odd smell coming from the carpet ( it was piss smell ) Reported to them and told me I had to get the carpet cleaner and pay for it, umm the apartment supposed to be clean before we move in. They refused. We had a carpet cleaner came in, he said himself that the carpet has never been clean over sometime. He wrote a letter for us to give it to them, they still refused. We been living with our parents with our new born baby for half a year paying for apartment we couldn't stay because of the hazard smell. We took them to court, as you know they had NO PROOF OF EVIDENCE of cleanner coming in cleaning the place, These guys are not highly recommended to deal with knowing they got taken to court. Worse people ever to do this to a young family with a new born. Look at there low star review. These guys contact us fast to sign for apartment but when it's comes to problems they don't even reply. Wish I could give them no stars

::Mould in apartment 1811 - Spencer at Byron, Takapuna I had very bad experience with renting an apartment from City Sales Apartments in Auckland. I was renting a one bedroom apartment, number 1811, in the Spencer at Byron Hotel via them. When I moved in, I noted a very bad smell and tried to air the apartment for days without success. Until I finally found the issue under the carpet in the bedroom. Black mould. See photos. A bit later, I found another spot in the lounge room. The bathroom shower was leaking into the walls and water gathered near the kitchen. All issues appeared to exist for much longer as to the evidence and discussion I had with the people that tried to fix the issue. Strange enough Sasha and Stephanie from City Sales never noticed any issues with the apartment before and still don’t smell any problems there. Once I sent photos they supported to fix the issues immediately. In the end I moved out as the problems couldn’t be fixed within 5 weeks. I couldn't sleep well and started feeling sick. Now they pretend the apartment was always fine and there never was an issue with it. This is a case with Tenancy Services now. I can't recommend their services for that reason and would recommend being cautious if you think about doing business with them.

::I used City sales to rent a flat in Auckland CBD, and it was a bad experience, starting from moving in to a dirty flat, to maintenance requests not fulfilled for two months. After moving out, they falsely claimed my security deposit so I reported them to the Tenancy Tribunal and they returned my deposit. Very mismanaged and dishonest company, best avoided.
