  We left Chch earlier today to head up to The a Marlborough Sounds for friends wedding. We intended on getting groceries from Blenheim on the way through but got stuck for two hours near Kaikoura due to a serious three car crash. Because of this, we weren’t even sure if we could get past Kaikoura tonight due to the newly opened roads from the earthquakes. Feeling pretty stressed we made it through within about 2 mins of the cutoff time then realised we might not get to Blenheim in time to get the groceries before the supermarket closed at 10pm. I contacted Countdown Blenheim in Seymour street and spoke to a very lovely lady called Leigh. I asked it would be possible at all to send her thru a list of grocery items for someone to collect for us so we could collect and pay when we arrived at the estimated arrival time of 10:02pm according to google maps. Amazingly Leigh said yes to helping us, gave me her mobile number and I wrote a list using online shopping and took pics to send thru of the list of items. It was 9pm at the time. We arrived at exactly 10pm and happily greeted by Leigh, Bronwyn and another lady. They kept the checkout open for us and Leigh helped us get the last bits and pieces. Absolutely amazing and outstanding service from your Blenheim store today Thankyou so so much you have taken a huge stress off us after such a long and stressful day!

  I've never had problems with this store. Mostly I find the staff quite friendly & helpful.

  Ordered online for Christmas, mate picked up but Countdown failed to give her the bag with Christmas cheeses, meat, etc. While they managed to correct the issue before new year's it made Christmas day food difficult. A shame.

  I was disappointed when after buying two packets of baps from the store my wife found 2 pieces of mice dirt in the first one she was about two eat. Couldn't face another one. I wonder what or if any rodent control is used.
