  We went here because my teenage grandaughter from Taupo wanted to purchase one of their roll bags and there's no Country Road in Taupo. We found the bags at the back of the shop and after quite some deliberation she parted with her $100. Service we recieved was rubbish compared to being in here last year. No greeting from staff as we entered or in were in the shop or when we were purchasing. On our way out we noticed a sign that said 'Spend $150 and get $50 off'. Had we known we would have purchased another bag. Totally slack customer service and we both missed out! The shop also sells men's & women's clothes, hats & accessories at the expensive end of prices.

  One of the very few men's clothing stores I like, considering the very limited options there are for men's fashion in welly

  So happy one of these stores opened so i don't have to order them from out of country.

  For an iconic store, they may want to revisit staff training regarding customer service. I was in there around 5pm on a Thursday evening, an hour before closing. Six staff were working and none of them acknowledged me, to the point that they deliberately avoided eye contact. All of them were too busy either standing behind the till or tidying racks. No-one seemed to have been tasked with looking after the customers. Even when carrying around four dresses, there continued to be no acknowledgement of my presence. No help either getting to the fitting room, nor when I was in the fitting room. I wanted to purchase one of the items, but with the service being so appalling I just couldn't bring myself to do it. In contrast I went into another store down the road and was greeted warmly by every single staff member. Lift your game Country Road Lambton Quay.
