  Great spot to look at planes and the history of pilots from the area. Art gallery and shop on site also. Was disappointed I could not have a flight in a biplane, they are grounded at present. Pays to ring first to see if they are flying. Airplane Restoration off-site costs bit more is privately owned, reception needs to ring them first to see if it's okay. The entrance in get in was $12. Lovely cafe next door with homemade goodies, and a shop which you can visit too

  What a gem of a place. South Island aviation history at it's absolute best. A dedicated bunch of volunteers make this an outstanding place to visit
