  I found a dress I liked on the internet and when I phone I was told there was a charge for trying on dresses. I did not want to pay this so I just turned up one day. I tried on the dress for free. When I asked if the material was silk they said "Yes I think so". I looked it up on the internet and it was 100% polyester. The cost of the dress was $1600 plus alterations which would be needed. They also needed to order it 6 months in advance. I had the same dress made to fit by a well know Christchurch wedding dress maker in silk for $1500. When I was first looking at dress's there I then found a bridesmaid dress and asked if they had it in white as a wedding dress, which they did. There was a huge difference in the price and the reason they told me was because it was a different material. Fact it was the exact same material. Sorry to say but my dealing were not great and I found them to be dishonest.
