  I’ve had a horrible experience with the staff working for the embassy, late, rude, obviously not enjoying their job, no customer service whatsoever. Seems like they didn’t learn anything living in this beautiful country. I hope they can improve but seems unlikely as a friend has been trying to book a time to renew her passport and they don’t even answer the calls.

  Bad attention. They tell me that they close in 20 min and according to google they close at 17.

  You need to make an appointment in advance, but they have a variety of hours and days. I recommend that if you come from picton on the ferry, first check the weather because sometimes you can cancel the ferry due to torments and miss the appointment. Very good the service does not take more than half an hour to get the passport and the identity card, Natalia the girl who works in the office is very kind and pleasant, they send you the passport directly to your home once it arrives at the Embassy in wellington . It takes 3-6 weeks for the passport to be ready. There is a small local Chilean food "Puro Chile" two blocks above the embassy Highly recommended ! Thank you
