  Great tasting for just 5$. Great Pinot Gris. No charge for the tasting if you buy a bottle of wine.

  Loved this place and the ocean view! The owners were so sweet and let us come in and have a tasting right before closing, let us choose the types of wine we tasted, and just kept offering more! It had a nice, small town feel. It was our first tasting of the day so we wanted to hit a few more wineries before we bought anything but we definitely regretted not buying from them as they were our favorite if the day and closed by the time we finished. Will defiantly look for a bottle when in the bottle store!

  We grabbed a nice wine from the supermarket earlier in the week and decided to head here to see what else they had to offer. I'm not a wine person so I won't tell you if their wines are good or not as I have no clue. They taste good to me. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the view is great.

  Esk valley was a great stop over heading north from Napier. Having not organised anything we were greeted kindly and invited to try their wine selection. Sue (our host) was openly friendly, informative and talkative. We had a great time discussing the wine and her metaphors were particularly useful in understanding the intricate things she was describing. We bought some wine and left the place feeling lifted by the positive reception we received. Definitely recommend Esk valley as an accessible and friendly tasting venue.
