River was quite slow, but the rapids were challenging and fun. The guide deserves 5 stars! Safety was always an important thing, which was good. Just three stars as it‘s not allowed to bring your own gopro, even if you attach it safely with a chest harness. „For safety reasons“. Well, don‘t think so. Doing that every day in summer when cat. sailing... Would be okay if the quality of the sold video would be good, but it looks like from 5 years ago. No sry. I fully understand that unattached cameras and maybe helmet camera are forbidden, but harnessed cameras. You guys should think about it. Still, had a lot of fun on the river, but can‘t share photos or videos on social networks due to this weird „safety“ thing

A bit disappointing as I expected the river to be more wild as it is classified as a 4-5 grade, as I've experienced in other countries. But be aware that most of the river is quite calm. There are just some rapids in there that make you work hard. That said, the guidance was perfect. This company takes things seriously, but in a fun way. The briefing was very professional with a lot of attention to safety and preparation (what to do when you fall out of the raft). Also, there's someone in a kayak all the time to assist in case of that situation. The surroundings are beautiful too. There's a tunnel that was pretty cool. And the time there were rapids, were fun too. We were there after it has been raining a lot. So, perfect timing. I wouldn't do it though if you've done more 4-5 level rafting, honesty, and you expect a crazy wild river. Other than that, it's fun!

There are any sauna, and the shower was not the best.... for natural causes, the shotover was not available, and we did the kawarau, that was so boring, definitely a waste of money.

Have done both the Shotover & Kawarau. Both great experiences. Shotover is more extreme if you’re looking for adrenaline.
