  We had a Hoover Core Plus cleaner with power head. We brought this machine approximately 6 years ago as we have pets that shed hair and the salesman said this was the best machine on the market and would have a long reliable life. After 4 years we were told it needed a new main motor ($250), earlier this year the elbow joint at the bottom of the pipe needed to be replaced also at our cost. Now the power head no longer works and we have been told replacement parts are not available. There has been only a mention of possibly being able to trade on a new model. So appalling value for a machine with an original cost of around $700. We will never recommend Hoover nor shop at Godfreys ever again. Joy & Robin Wood

  Hi, I would like, to let it be known about the service I received this week from the Godfreys Palmerston North store. I had a Hoover Vacuum cleaner with a power head which we brought because we had a golden retriever who's job in life was to love us and shed hair, so this was a great vacuum cleaner for us.Two weeks ago I had a problem with my machine and took it in to be fixed. To my great surprise, when I went in to pick it up I was told they were going to have trouble getting the parts and so they decided replaced my machine with the equivalent new machine. I have now used my new Hoover Royal Vacuum Cleaner and are delighted with it, a big thank you to Godfreys Palmerston North. Pat and Ray Symons

  Good selection of vacuums, but customer service leaves something to be desired
