::Hillyer's you have to clean your cafe! We've been visiting you for two years but don't think that will be happening again. The staff looked tired and dishevelled. The cake was sickly, the salmon pot was tasteless and undercooked. We used to love coming to see you. Very disappointing.

::It was a great spot to grab lunch - just a six minute walk from the events center (where I had a full day workshop). Loads of selection. I got a pulled pork pie.. it was not as amazing as I was hoping, still very good though!! I would definitely go back to try a different flavor! I was eyeing up the lamb and kumara...

::I went to Lincoln University from 2002-2006. The pies and service were exceptional back then. I made a visit recently and the quality of the service was nothing like it used to be. I had a pie dumped on my table in a bag when I clearly had an 'eat in' order. No plate or cutlery offered. I was drinking my coffee at the table, so this should have been obvious. Pies weren't as tasty as I remembered, but this could have been me romanticising the past. The steak and relish pie wasn't too bad. This was at a non-busy time too. Improvement needed.

::Made the mistake of getting steak and onion pie. The onions must have been caramelized. The pie was sickly sweet. I don't think sugar has any place in a meat pie.

::LOVE the Chicken and Asparagus Pies. So yummy! Only down is the wait, especially if people ordering coffee before you. Only one person working the day I called in
