  I stay here... A lot. I always stay in the same room, because, from experience, that room has a good bed, a decent TV (that I can plus USB into) and an acceptable bathroom. The hotel itself is the definition of "hit and miss"; with zero standardisation throughout, every room has a different (lucky dip) mattress and a different TV, etc. Therefore, it makes it very hard to review. Until it embraces some kind of general standard for its rooms, this review will not change. Mercure Abel Tasman, please read my review and sort things out... At least give ALL of your rooms new mattresses for goodness sake!

  The room we rented was nice and tidy. However, we can hear the room next door and also the people going in and out of the lift. The location is great for travellers who want to explore the city center. The reception people are pleasant and helpful.

  Very central no issue with the room restaurant was lovely but the noise was very loud people talking outside my room road noise was horrendous. Bugger all sleep

  What a fantastic location!! Right in the heart of Wellington, just a 10 minute walk to the cable car and/or water. Elevator is really slow but rooms were clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend!

  Great place to stay . Good position to visit the shops At Cuba Street Mall. A good stroll down to Lambton Quay. Great shopping. We stayed in an older room. Some noise from the street. But good and tidy. The Restaurant has really nice food. Awesome ladies that do your room. All in all a Great team.
