::When we first began our Tenancy with Claire as our Property Manager, I was told by my flatmates, who got a chance to meet her, that she was a lovely person, and even left us a little gift basket for when we moved into the property. I do not doubt that she is a lovely person, however her professionalism and competence as a property manager was sorely lacking. We have had no end of issues with the property and it was a struggle to get these issues resolved - taking 4 months to get an exterminator after mice and ants, and then rats started to visit after the exterminator visited, water running out of light fittings when it rained, a slip that came down behind onto the house that took us, the tenants getting into contact with the owners in the UK to get cleaned up (they knew nothing about any of the issues we had been facing, as well as the scheduled Tenancy Tribunal hearing). The slip that occurred was our main issue and while she was prompt in her response that same day, that was the only time that this issue was addressed by her. She didn't even come to the last scheduled house inspection, one of two in which she had scheduled throughout the entire year. The second inspection was scheduled days after the Tenancy Tribunal hearing that she did not attend. We were no longer able to get into contact with her as all of our phone numbers were then blocked. If we sent emails, we seldom got a response. We had two Tenancy Tribunals in which she failed to attend, she was served the paperwork for the second hearing and still a no-show.. The Tenancy Tribunal ruled in our favour and we were awarded over $2000 in damages. This has still not been paid three months down the track- we have since gone to collections and they have not had any luck collecting this money. We are having to spend more money to get our money back and we shouldn't have to. We have since moved out of the property however there was not effort from her to arrange an inspection - so we didn't get to have an inspection with her, and so bond form was signed. We now await to get this back from Tenancy Services but who knows how long we will have to wait. We loved living at this house however if our problems were seen to within a reasonable period or at all, we would probably still be there. I feel very sorry for the owners of this house as their property is falling into disrepair and she is not doing anything to resolve any of these issues. Just a warning to any potential new clients and tenants - as per the other reviews that aren't from fellow management contacts.

::I spoke with Claire asking information about her services and the market on behalf of a client. She was very knowledgeable and we spoke at length. She returned my call in a timely manner (faster than expected). I called other agents and she was the most prompt and most knowledgeable in comparison. Thank you for helping and I know my clients are happy with the information provided!

::Negative Zero stars. Clair has been a NIGHTMARE to deal with.. I was one of the tenants of one of the properties she managed last year. She has been a complete nuisance ever since. She NEVER replies back to your text, emails or phone calls ..and all she knows and does best is that SHE IS GOOD AT BLOCKING YOUR NUMBER. She loves to make excuses. She is completely irresponsible and unprofessional. If your thinking about going into business with Claire (HouseSmart Solutions) please save the hassle and find a better company...like someone else. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.. PS. Run far far away while you can..

::I would love to give Claire and her company no stars as we rented a place under her company last January. She started out as this really confident and professional person which soon ended. When we were shown around the property the day we moved in we were told power points that were hanging off the walls would be fixed and a room that had no curtains would have curtains within a few weeks. Being unaware of the terrible service and being completely blind sided thinking she was a company and thinking they do their job but these issues were still the same when we moved out a few days ago. As July hit and we had some really bad weather we ended up with a landslide and a flood at the back of the property. Claire was there on the first night as soon as she could but from then on it went pear shaped. The slip was still there 5 months later and we had had minimal contact with her. We also did not have a door that locked for 2 weeks as she said it was ānot importantā. We took her to the tenancy tribunal and we got a court hearing and she was court ordered to back pay us rent in compensation. 2 months on and she is refusing to do so. Blocked me on every source possible and we now are struggling to get our bond back. We couldnāt ring off our phones as she had blocked our numbers so we decided to call off a friend of ours and then she picked up giving us some excuse as to why she hadnāt been at work. I completely think the excuse was all bogus so we would have sympathy for her but she did not leave anyone in charge of her company in the meantime if her ādisappearanceā from the work place. Any issues that arose while we were in the flat are still there. I would never ever in a million years wish this upon anyone. Do not use her services and do not recommend her to anyone. It has been the worst 8 months of our lives in terms of housing situations. Get the word around. And I really hope she reads this because....guess what claire.. you canāt delete this like you do on your website and facebook.

::I had a property with this company until recently and they left me bitterly disappointed with their service. Claire initially presented as competent and professional. Unfortunately Claire went AWOL for several months at a time, on more than one occasion. She missed property inspections, did not communicate, wouldnāt return emails or calls and has inexplicably blocked me to avoid answering questions. She has to the best of my knowledge failed to transfer the tenants bond to my new property management company and still owes me money. She has thoroughly failed to meet her obligations. I would sincerely recommend anyone who values their property to stay well clear of Claire.
