We had a quick meal there a few weeks ago, without any expectation rather than eat and go. The service was below average, I asked for a pint of dark beer from tap, they forgot to mention that is not available and I just got what the waitress thought would be fine. All surrounding table was dirty, even were no customers apart from us, catering wasn't clean either, we had to pick some "clean" from other places... The meal was OK, but what you could do wrong with a burger and a salad ? I don't think we go back ever...

Best place to have DINNER in a very good price. I love their STEAK EGG AND CHIPS too. The service is AWESOME.

Went there for a nice lunch with my fiance. Asked to sit outside; the only table not directly in the sun had a mop across it. We had to sit inside where it was hot and no air conditioning was running though installed in the ceiling. Our waitress lacked any charm whatsoever and used some scrap paper to note down our order which looked unprofessional. Our food took almost an hour to arrive. When I asked how long till we could expect our lunch I was told "5 minutes". It was more like 15 minutes by the time it arrived. Then there was the meals; average at best. My sauteed mushrooms were more sauce than mushrooms. The walls were dirty with coffee stains and other marks. The duty managers sign was on a piece of paper, it looked like it had been written by a child. For a $50 meal for two people it was an absolute disgrace. Whoever owns that business seems like they've purchased it from someone who cared and completely dropped the ball. Don't waste your time or money.

Went for lunch on Wellington Anniversary Day. Was impressed by the awards that they advertise (Beef & Lamb Award 2017), so decided I would try the Open Steak Sandwich. My husband had Steak Egg and Chips. Despite being asked how we would like our steaks - which was medium rare, mine was rare and my husband's was well done. My husband's steak was stewed and chewy, and mine was chewy and even the steak knife had difficulty getting through it. The steak fries were limp and poor excuse for a salad. One of the worst meals I have ever had at a restaurant and really objected to paying $70 for a shocking meal. When the waitress asked how our meals were and I said not good - she quickly said, "I will be with you later" and took off. If you are thinking of going here - please try somewhere else that deserves your custom, there are plenty of well deserving places on Jackson street.

Had a group of 14 for a birthday dinner. Some of the meals were okay but for the prices you would expect some decent flavour. The overall feedback from our group was the main dishes were lacking in flavour and seafood entree options were disappointing. Lamb is definitely their specialty, unfortunately most our group ordered other things. The sourdough cob loaf and wedges were a great entrees. Wait staff were friendly and helpful. Would not recommend the rissoto as we had to send this back.
