  A pleasant well managed motel. We had a unit with bed,, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor with two bedrooms upstairs. There was restricted lounge space. Some have bedrooms and bathroom upstairs, so be clear about your requirements. Parking may not be alongside the unit. We had a great view of the lake. That does not apply to all units. An easy walk to the town.

  Rooms are big. Staff very friendly. Bed linen had a small stain (look like washed out blood). Whirpool was a bit of a disappointment because the jets didn‘t work very well.

  Great host & location with a nice lake view and all the local bars & eateries a short walk away. Got a free upgrade when we arrived. Nice place to stay in Taupo.

  Great apartments - really well located for all the bars, restaurants and shops. There's parking for one car per apartment and the spots are a decent size. The jacuzzi bath was awesome and the toiletries provided were lovely. The beds were super comfy too. There's a pool on site though the weather wasn't good enough to get out and use it but in the height of summer I'd definitely have done so. Only down side were the creaky stairs and tou could hear people walking around next door but nothing else! Staff were really helpful and gave us tips for the area as well as advice for our onward drive to Wellington.

  We love staying at Le Chalet Suisse and have been having holidays here for 12 years. Great units and facilities, friendly staff and amazing lake views. Our family and overseas visitors from England have also enjoyed staying here with us. Highly recommended ☺
