::My experience at the maraeroa marae was the first time I had been to that marae when my daughters had there noho marae, which they were performing in there school kapahaka group, I missed that but I got to see other kapahaka group perform and they were excellent even thou there was only a few of them. Im pretty sure the whole community wouldve of heard this kapahaka group perform in the wharekai. I have been living in porirua for 8 years and because I come from a background where at my own home town, Im always at anything that has to do with my own marae. Just those memories of being at this marae just felt like I was at home.
