::With all the chain restaurants around Royal Oak it is nice to know a good old Kiwi burger, fries and shake joint is still here after more than 40 years! Nothing super fancy, just classic toasted sandwiches, burgers, fries (yum) milk and thick shakes. All reasonably priced and at a super convenient location at the centre of Royal Oak. Highly recommended.

::I have been going to Ollie's for over 30 years. It hasn't really changed and consistently servers great ice cream flavours. Good job. Highly recommended

::A huge selection of ice cream, i think theyre all TipTop. Serves a decent sized scoop, good value. A very retro decoration inside even with some arcade machines. Staff were friendly. Had the Mocha fudge brownie ice cream which had a strong taste and good bite sized chunks of brownie. Tables were a little dirty with ice cream marks not wiped clean.

::The queue was out of the door, always a good sign. Such a great selection of ice creams, sundies etc to try, it was a hard choice indeed. We were both very pleased with the taste of our ice creams, even better as what we thought we a double scoop, was only a single. Mine was melting faster than I could eat it. If you love ice cream, this place is the place to check out.

::A classic choice destination for ice cream - a perfect dessert if you were recently made a happy boy (if you know I am saying) - I confess that my Ollie’s experience is limited to that delicious not too fussy deserts - a wide array of ice cream flavours and a personal fave of banana split and/or sundaes Cheap and cheerful and often busy which always a good sign. Staff invariably friendly and service efficient. Decor harks back to a simpler time where this would really really fancy in the 70s. I love it - long may Ollie’s remain an institution - spend your frozen dessert money here instead at the trendy imported places,
