::If you are strolling along the foreshore or just dashing in to get out of the rain this is a Petone gem. A great mix of history in the most amazing art decorating building. Wish I'd taken some photos.
Ruary Laidlaw
::An eye opening little museum. Well set up displays. A very interesting video about the history of early settlement. The lady in reception was friendly and keen to be helpful. Right beside the sea where it all happened.
Chrissy Parker
::Has the most amazing mural. Great hats and other local factory displays and a whole room of tangata whenua info. Easy parking. Laughable/questionable swimming cossies and a memorable sea view. Definitely worth a visit and a donation.
Bob Ranchod
::Great little place showcasing Lower Hutts current and past history. Regular interesting events held here also. Situated on Petone beach there is plenty of parking and Popular Jackson street within 5 minutes walking distance for a restaurant or cafe.

::So many interesting stories here about the industries and people that have shaped Petone. Loved the candid photos from the Hills Hat exhibition and the video of the old Unilever factory. Some real delights here to stop in and check out while walking the Esplande.
