  Great service. Very professional staff, well looked after and car performed fantastic after fixing an oil leak that the previous service centre in Brooklyn stuffed up.

  I think the Toyota's sound reputation is a problem to some dealership like Rutherford& Bond. Under the good reputation, the customers will come and buy a car without too much consideration, so some of staffs don't know how to supply good customer service or maybe they don't really care. In my case, the sales named Tony Jackson is a typical "old school" sales, try to wash his hand of the finished deal. I haven't met this kind of sales at the main dealership for a long time. The 3 stars are for his manager named Julian. After I made contact with him, he is very professional and helpful. He finally made everything right .

  My first and what will be my last dealings with Rutherford and Bond were over Lexus Hybrid they had listed on Trademe. I rang and spoke to a salesman on Wednesday, arranged to come down from Palmerston North on the Saturday. I expressed that I was very keen but had to check the boot size, being a Hybrid, that my sport equipment would fit. I rang back on Friday just to confirm he would be there only to find that on Thursday he relisted the car and dropped the price by $1000. It was sold minutes after relisting. I would have thought that common courtesy would have warranted a call to me saying they were doing this and offer it to me at the reduced price. Found out the car was sold to a dealer in Akld. Very poor customer service.

  We use R & B for parts for our rental van and truck fleet. We are always greeted by their pretty and cheerful lady in the show room. The boys behind the counter at parts are always onto it and helpful when needed. Can't ask for more.
