  Could do with a good clean. First room I was given door didn't lock; 2nd room smelt like vomit and both rooms were dusty. Bathrooms were ok but disconcerting when the light goes out when you're in the shower; also needed to make sure clothes were out of the way of shower spray. Staff were friendly and helpful. Drink prices were uptown; very surprised a glass of wine was more than a double shot of Jack Daniels.

  Everything seemed newly renovated in the forest wing where I stayed for 4 nights, however, the showers were cold for 3 of the 4 mornings... Aparently the water was heated using solar but had a back up of gas that was set to a timer (7am was too early for the timer apparently). As a conference venue they had all the requirements but severely lacked in looking after the facilities during the day - no topping up of milk for tea and coffee, no extra water for the tables in the meeting room, running out of cups etc. Bathrooms were constantly requiring cleaning and paper towel rubbish was always overflowing - I feel like they just weren’t able to look after our group of 40 in the way you would expect of a reasonable conference venue. In saying this the food was good but I’m just glad I was not paying for this myself!

  The few staff that I dealt with seemed lovely, but after thus place was hyped up, it fell quite short. The facilities were basic, including cold showers (apparently they are solar powered with gas back ups...that are turned off. Ummm, then what's the point?). The food was nice, but nowhere near what I'd expect for a 'retreat'. All around, it would not be my first option.

  A wonderful place for reception, seminars and even family reunion. They serve good portions of food and good taste.

  It's a great place and very efficient and friendly service. Will be even better when all the construction finishes
