  Since Dinu has taken over the company, emails have gone unanswered and work simply hasn't been done, ie now I have over due GST returns. I decided to move on, and politely asked to have a final account of money owing, and transfer of my xero account. I'm still waiting, I've asked 3 times, as I want to move onto a new local accountant. Not only did I have the IRD remove Dinu as my accountant, without permission the next day he put himself back on. I've since had him removed again. He has no right to my information, without my permission. I've made a decision to move on from Slater, under Brad and Brett the company was run competently, now it's a mess, and his behavior isn't normal. Most people will say, Shaun no longer wants to be a customer, I'll sort things out so I can move on. Shaun Wright

  Brett Slater accountant has all the attributes a great accountant should have. In my opinion he is definitely one of the best if not the best accountant in New Zealand. Top notch communication skills, have a solid grasp on ones business needs, he stays up to speed on the latest in accounting trends - what more could you ask for?

  The thought of finding an accountant that wasn't just a confusing bean counter with zero personality was quite daunting. Brett Slater was recommended to us by friends and what a breath of fresh air Brett and his team are.   I've been told that good accountants maximize their client's tax refunds, while also keeping Inland Revenue at arm's length. However, for me, Slater and Co are much more than merely that: I have a company and two trusts, and I've entrusted Brett to look after them all for me for more than 15 years now. Why? Because, in my experience, Brett is approachable, straightforward, trustworthy, accurate, thorough, and unobtrusively professional. And he's always made himself available to help me work through issues, both business and personal. For example, just a few weeks ago he took time out from his Fijian holiday to help me retrieve a tricky real estate transaction -- and at no additional charge! That is the kind of service I've come to appreciate.
