  My experience Smith & Smith Petone was utterly disappointing! My first visit to Smith & Smith was a few months back at their Wellington workshop to get my windscreen replaced. The process was smooth and the staff was helpful. Excellent job done! I got a chip in my windscreen again last week and I never had a second thought of going to another vendor. Called up and get my appointment fixed on 29 Jan 2018 at 1.30pm. I thought of going earlier and reached their place at 12.15pm, asked if they can take my car earlier but the response I got was they won't do anything to my car until 1.30pm. So I said ok and I'll be back before time. Went back at 1.20pm just to be told by the receptionist that my car is now behind time because of the heat and they will need to wait for my mirror to cool down. They can't do it for me at 1.30pm because there are still other cars scheduled behind me. The receptionist asked me to come back at either 3.30pm or tomorrow morning. I really wish that I have all the time in the world. If you need cooling time for the windscreen, you should have told me this at the point of time when I make my appointment. You could have told me this when I reach your office at 12.15pm instead of refusing to fix my chip at 1.20pm. I have already wasted the petrol to travel to and from Petone and a few hours off from work and you still have the cheek to ask me to come back at another time?

  Needed a windscreen repair on a work vehicle, which was completed better than expected, quicker than expected, and for less than expected - all around, a great experience. The staff are friendly and know their stuff when it comes to glass repair and replacement.
