  My Sister & I enjoyed a lovely weekend at the Spinnaker Motel. Cozy, clean & modern bathroom. Within walking distance to several cafes & restaurants & the amazing Plimmerton beach. Thankyou Lynette

  Very clean, great rates, pleasant hosts and not a bad location for city events without city prices

  Nice clean rooms. Cooking facilities in room. Quite a lot of traffic and train noise.

  Checked in on Thursday late night as I boarded a late flight from Sydney for our reunion. Moved into a larger room, being #5 the next day as a friend joined me from Auckland. Everything appeared to be smooth sailing, until Saturday morning, when our room was "cleaned" (within 5 minutes by two maids), while we literally sat outside waiting for our room to be "cleaned". The first thing I checked was my wallet which inadvertently was left on the kitchen table....and alas! $100 was missing!!! At least I wasn't left penny-less but nonetheless, it was quite upsetting and I immediately reported the matter to the manager (lady). She then brought in one of the lady's that had cleaned the room who started explaining what was cleaned and what wasn't -- totally irrelevant! We had activities planned for the entire day and the manager promised us she will report the matter to the police but I guess, given it was a "minor incident", it was meant to be referred to another department that would "investigate" the matter -- I did not proceed with this as we were at Rimutaka Range (or thereabouts) and it would have been inconvenient. Given the incident happened like 2 days ago, I have nothing good to say about this place and encourage others to be quite mindful of their belongings and personal stuff while staying here. P.S. I had to give it a solitary star otherwise I would not be able to post my thread. I do not rate this place.
