  Delightful museum. Very friendly country town. Interesting displays on gold mining, farming, world wars and early settlers. Nice modern displays and great little personal touches. Lovely staff and a very good place to visit surrounded by stunning countryside. At last a mining story where people from all nationalities seemed to mostly get along together?

  Definitely worth a look. The lady there found our family in a book on the local history. If you have 30 minutes spare, you won't be disappointed.

  Excellent place to visit (was there on a rainy Sunday) for those intersted in the diverse history of the area. Please note openning hours as in the photo. Summer (Labour weekend - Easter) 11 am - 4 pm daily; Winter 1-3 pm Saturday and Sunday,
