  Bad advice that has now put the project in jeopardy. What they advised was completely wrong and the builders have already made the requirements they requested. They have cost money and we have come to the point where it is too expensive to correct therefore we will not be installing our gas fire. I was continuously chasing them for answers, poor communication. You would have to be crazy to use this company.

  Our experience with The Fireplace was disappointing and I would not recommend them. The initial site visit went well, the man that came out to take measurements was very nice. After that contact was made via email. We were sent measurements to confirm and then we had to sign a document stating if the measurements were wrong and the fireplace did not fit this was our problem. I thought this was pretty average, it was up to them to get the correct measurements - its their job! The lady we were in contact was very short and blunt with her emails making it clear full payment was required before the fireplace was delivered - I found her quite rude. We had parts that we paid for and were delivered to us that we didn't even need and had to be sent back for a refund. Since installation we have had a lot of birds come down the chimney into the house and build nests which have fallen down on top of the firebox, we cant get these out as the smoke vent is too narrow to put your hand through. We never had this issue with our old chimney stacks, we have now had to buy some chicken wire and climb up on the roof and wrap it around the stacks. You would expect these would be designed to stop birds getting in?! Don't use this company unless you want poor service at a high price.
