  We just went to a wedding there today and it was a fantastic venue. The staff were great and the food was really good. Weather was amazing too which was a bonus. Definitely recommend it.

  I was a guest at a wedding at this venue a few months. The couple that got married had asked for an 8 course degustation menu and my God was the food good! Everything about the place was fantastic but the food was something else. The service was very good, all staff members were wearing a smile, they all looked smart and nothing was too much trouble at all. The food as I mentioned above was excellent and although we were all individually served all plates were warm and the food decoration on the plates was equally as good as what the taste was. The owners were great, so welcoming and did everything they could to make sure my friends wedding ran as smoothly as possible. The venue is spotlessly clean with excellent views. I would strongly recommend this place to anybody who is thinking of getting married.

  The Lodge is a beautiful venue with lovely views and wonderful owners and staff! We had a lovely time thanks to the Lodge, from the delicious food, to the lovely decoration and the great service!!! The owners are extremely accommodating to everyone, and the staff are always happy to help. Thank you ever so much for everything!!

  What can I say about this place apart from the fact that it is just beautiful !!!! The hosts (Viv and Pete and their two children Jared and Georgia) are lovely people, very polite, nothing is too much trouble and they always welcome you with a big smile! The rooms are clean, with excellent views, comfortable beds and a beautiful decoration with bright colours. They have a communal area with fresh coffee and tea which you can help yourself to and have as much as you like. There is a parking space for your car too. I strongly recommend this place to anybody, it's peaceful and only 20 minutes away from Wellington by car.

  The Lodge at the Inlet was a beautiful location for a wedding. That staff where very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. The rooms are in an interesting layout, so don’t be surprised if there’s a sink in the bedroom.
