  On a recent trip to NZ the owner was incredibly kind to my husband and I when we were caught by a sudden rainstorm one evening while walking on Ponsonby Road. Sadly we weren't able to visit his shop and support an independent bookstore, but you definitely should!

  Good site for finding used books. Fair prices. Handy for finding a book you didn't expect to want to read but were thrilled that you found.

  This is my favourite type of bookstore. Small and sneaky, in a labyrinth-like format with pockets (rooms) that house various themes. Lots of little corners to get lost in. They put little tables and chairs too like a tiny library. I found a few pleasant surprises here that made me waltz out with happy jingles. But I think I would have been happy all the same just to be there.
