::Nice apartments with everything you need nearby.

::Tiny rooms, rabbit warren like, no fresh air, no window looking out only onto ventilation corridor. Portable AC was very noisy right next to bed - even the earplugs in bedside draw didn't block the noise. Felt like trying to sleep on long haul flight.

::My work booked for me to stay here for one night at a cost of $165 for a queen studio a few weeks ago. They advertise themselves as 'serviced apartments' but really its a small, dingy room with a small kitchenette and a bathroom, where corners have been cut at every opportunity. Unlike any serviced apartments I have stayed in around NZ. This looks to be a converted office building, so my room had no windows and felt very claustrophobic, it did not have appropriate ventilation, and it was extremely hot and stuffy. ( I dread to think how hot it would be in summer). It also was incredibly loud- there doesn't appear to be any sound proofing at all! I could hear word-for-word people's conversations, presumably in the rooms next door-as well as the noise from people coming and going ALL night. Additionally, the furniture was cheap and falling apart. So between the heat, stuffiness and noise from people it was almost impossible to sleep. Not acceptable at all, particularly when its a work trip. I hated every second that I spent there, and do not recommend anyone waste their money. I have stayed at Backpackers that are of a much higher quality for a fraction of the price. My workplace is removing this accommodation from their list. Absolutely disgusted at the quality and a completely overpriced.

::The room and halls are all clean and tidy although does have a strange layout. Our room had one tiny window facing another building which was a bit of a disappointment. The outdoor balcony was good but could do with some maintenance. Location was ideal for a tourist who plans on walking around. All the tourist attractions were ~5min walk away. If you're on a tight budget and want somewhere nice to stay in the inner city these rooms are ideal.

::If you're staying for short periods in Wellington on a budget this place has some things going for it: 1. It's priced very well. Usually the cheapest option 2. It's very central. Great of you're located in city centre 3. The rooms don't back on to a busy street like many other hotels in this price bracket. It's quiet and thus possible to get a good sleep. 4. Although basic the rooms are clean and tidy. Is it a nice hotel: no. Is it an excellent budget option if you're just passing through: yes.
