::Awesome staff big ups,had the perfect sirloin steak and my husband had falling off the bone ribs topped off with a gorgeous apple crumble and chocolate cake, well done to the chef and speights ale house, definitely be back😍👍

::Very reliable resturant, also good for groups as there is lots of room to move round and chat and they will split the bill and not muck it up...I have been there multiple times for both small and large groups and staff have always been, helpful and friendly and enthusiastic. Compared to other places they are amazing. It's our go to place for a solid meal, with some drinks. Also the acoustics are easy on the ear so you Don't find you self shouting to make yourself heard...Although it might be different if you went on a night with a big game on. There are TV for games on but I have never found that to be too invasive.

::Great food,, very short time for food to come out. Staff amazing and atmosphere great. Well done.

::I've been disappointed with the food at other Ale houses around the country but gave it a shot in Petone anyway, this was no better. I had a buttermilk chicken burger, it was bland, unspiced, the bacon was blackened and dry, the most flavour in the burger came from the lettuce... My partners steak was overdone and tough and even the chips were poor. The beer are mediocre and expensive here too. Wouldn't go back

::Felt a bit like a beer hall when we first entered but soon the food, service and atmosphere won us over. Loved the ribs and pork belly. Enjoyable pub fare.
