::I've been looking for the most authentic Italian restaurant, especially for pasta, in Auckland and I think I just found the leading contender. I was dining alone for lunch so I didn't need one of their famous pizzas, but I did see gnocchi on the menu which I couldn't ignore. It's pricey for sure, but it was great. To make it even better? I had all of this sauce left over and knew "la scarpetta", a "little boot" of bread would really hit the spot to scoop up all of this tomato goodness. The man behind the counter knew exactly what I was talking about and suggested their pane (bread), I chose garlic, and MAN that was the best bread I may have ever ordered. It was so soft yet dense and had full cloves in it with olive oil for dipping that I may just order that on its own next time, seriously.

::We ordered our metre pizza's for our company function the day before to ensure that there would be no delay - delivery time arrived, no pizza's. I had to call them to enquire what time we could expect them - "sorry for the delay, it is Friday and we are rather busy", not good enough. When the pizza's did arrive, a half an hour after they were due, the dough was under cooked and there was not enough filling, the outside crusts were dry with a small bit of filling on. Unacceptable for the prices charged!!! Will not be ordering from them again.

::Lunch was great except for the chicken insalata which was strange in texture... it was moochy! and when asked for diary free it was loaded with dairy which I couldn't eat. So wont be returning...also a major issue with payment as the front of house did not get the payment for the orders correct due to a language barrier.
