::Waikato doesn't offer much in the way of on campus fun (especially now student union donations are optional), and while I had some really amazing teachers, others came across as bored and disinterested (this was a common complaint from my peers as well). Stressed out teachers spread around giant classrooms was definitely a problem! And a lot of classes were teaching heavily outdated content. Waikato needs live music, on campus markets, more interesting and affordable food (have you heard the legend that was Wheel Cake Man?), and the teachers need better hours, smaller classes, and more incentives.

::I am an alumni, so maybe my opinion would be biased. But great university. Wonderful faculties. My two years in the university were a great experience. Also, located literally at the heart of the city.

::Campus is beautiful, but the university is not good value for money. Outdated material, and unmotivated staff. My advice for any international student considering studying at Waikato is: Don't. There are plenty of better options out there.

::What a dumpster fire of a University. They started charging for parking, although due to Hamilton's rubbish public transport - everyone still has to drive anyway. I've been in and out of hospital for almost a decade, and the university would refuse to give me any kind of leniency. Even when fresh out of surgery - I could never get any kind of close parking.
