  Disorganised. Dirty rooms. Terrible service. Booked in for Feb and received email in Jan asking why I had not checked in. Told double room booked not available and would need singles. Then confirmed double room available. Arrived and checked in and got a single room. Then moved to a double room that didn't have a key....could go on and on. Booked alternative accomodation but having very frustrating time trying to get money back for when we were not there. Service is not something they understand here. The pictures must have been taken when it was brand new as now carpet covered in stains and everything seems dark and dirty. This is seriously some of the worst accomodation I have ever experienced.

  I wouldn't even give it any stars. It's expensive and disgusting. You do not feel free at all here, you are treated like a child. Wendy Brown is a mean, malicious person. They have cameras EVERYWHERE and they WATCH you all the time. Highly recommend you never bother with USTAY

  its unfortunate that you cannot give less that poor as a rating i am staying here as a student and I will NEVER tell anyone else to come here as a student or a traveler, do not be fooled by the pictures on the advertisements there are only about 10 rooms like that, and the rest are total crap. for the same cost you can stay almost anywhere else in wellington, make sure that its not here.

  Despite marketing material and website claiming refurbished rooms, we had a room in dire need of a paint and some TLC. Windows wouldn't shut properly etc. This would've been bearable had the bathrooms been cleaned. I waited outside one toilet whilst the cleaner was in there, and walked in as soon as he walked out - and there was urine still on the seat! Hair stuck to the shower side was there for the duration of our stay. Saying that, the poor condition of the showers could not have made it easy to clean them - paint bubbling off walls at top and rotting scotias. If any attempt had been made to clean them! Soap scum the thickness of a block of soap and poorly shutting shower doors (so water everywhere!) made showering a health hazard. One shower (of about 4) on our floor was broken - the rose wouldn't stay facing up. We would have left before staying there a night, however Wellington was sold out for the AC/DC concert so we were stuck with what we'd been made to pay in advance for. We had two rooms (two couples) and both smelt strange when we first opened them up. The other couple's linen did not look clean and they ended up sleeping on top of the bed as the side of the building we were on got the afternoon sun making the rooms unbearably hot.
