::I sat on the couch in the glass foyer just outside the church proper. A woman was giving a sermon in Samoan. It was the best sermon I didn't understand ever. It was melodic and meditative. I stayed for the whole sermon and was moved. I thought about God and nature. Actually I think it was Tongan. On the otherhand. I'm homeless. So I stop there on the way from the soup kitchen. Because there is a tap. I can make myself a coffee. I have a tiny camp cooker. I usually sit in the rain shelter or if it's sunny in the entrance way of Cristo Drama school. Now I can't do that the security guard moves me on. He must think I'm living there. Which I'm not. I live at the night shelter. I like places where I feel safe and can relax alittle while. But if people think your homeless you get judged differently. I will get moved along. Even though there were people there longer then me who weren't asked to move along.

::Recently Vocal FX hosted a show at the Wesley Parish on Taranaki Street on 17 September 2017. The line-up of performances was world class, with 3-time International Gold Medalist Chorus and Choir of the World champion Westminster performing alongside the gold medalist quartet Love Notes, both from California in the United States. The event also showcased 6 Wellington based choruses, including Vocal FX – the reigning 2017 New Zealand champions and 2016 sixth best international chorus. The Parish was beautiful with its high ceilings and spacious seating, and was the perfect venue for our show. What also makes Wesley a great place are the people who looked after us while we were there. We'd like to thank the wonderful custodians who made it so easy for us to use their wonderful venue. Thank you to our world-class performers, the team at Wesley, and our wonderful audience.

::A lovely wooden church in central Wellington. The methodist church provide for a multi-racial community with services in Samoan, Fijian, Tongan, and English. The church, designed by Thomas Turnbull, was opened on 14 March 1880 and the name, Wesley Church, adopted a week later. The interior of the church was remodelled to its present form in 1962-63. Further restoration was carried out after fire severely damaged the front of the church in January 1982. I have enjoyed photographing weddings at this venue.
