  Not only is whakamax the best place in whakatane to watch a movie...it is the only place. Aa++

  Very clean premises. Deliciously fresh popcorn. Super friendly, helpful staff. Quality seats and comfortable viewing angles. Decent screen size. Website is updated quite often too so you can look for movie times/ongoing offers online, anytime.

  Awesome independent cinema. Saw two movies here. Very helpful staff, comfy seats and cheaper tickets on Tuesdays. Reasonable prices for Popcorn and drinks.
