  Lori Ellen had been treating me for over a year when I became pregnant with my first baby. She immediately was excited for me and I was interested in how acupuncture could help support my pregnancy. Lori Ellen was confident and knowledgeable on how and when acupuncture would be beneficial to both me and my baby. She generously leant me a book which guided me in nurturing myself and baby through diet according to Chinese medicine. At each step of the way I felt I could completely trust Lori Ellen and always enjoyed her gentle touch, compassionate communication and peaceful nature. At 37, 38 and 39 weeks of my pregnancy we did the set of points to prepare my body (open pelvis, soften cervix etc) for birth. Lori Ellen also took the time to teach Chris and I some acupressure points and these appointments to use during labour for pain relief. I attribute the acupuncture to my swift 2 ½ hour labour and the acupressure during contractions was the only pain relief I needed. When Chris got the points right on, the intensity of my contractions totally disappeared! Also at 12 and 28 weeks Lori Ellen did the ‘Happy baby points’ and I am delighted to share that we have a placid cruisey baby who brings us much joy. I totally recommend Lori Ellen and her skills to support pregnancy and labour as I truly believe these things created a positive, calm and successful pregnancy and birthing experience.   My history was a case of chronic epicondolytis ( tennis elbow) for which I suffered for over one year. After trying many conventional therapies with little success, I then discovered acupuncture. Lori-Ellen does a thorough case history and for me, knowing I was truly being listened to, gave a sense of her being a kind and caring person therefore allowing me to be open and honest in a safe environment. Lori-Ellen explains well her treatments and is gentle in applying needles. Lori-Ellen exudes confidence and intuitiveness in her approach in treating the '' whole body '' . In these past twelve months, each day with pain had created despair, isolation, and at times depression, but now, my memory of this pain has faded... The combination of trust, communication, acupuncture and massage, working together, has been a learning experience for the both of us and made for a very special healing journey, allowing my true self to re-emerge

  I went to see Lori-Ellen on a recommendation after I had spent over 6 months with pain and restricted movement. Now I feel so great I cant believe I took so long to make that first appointment. I have never looked back. Not only does she work miracles with her needles and hands but she is such a wonderful person and so gifted. Always intuitive and empathetic Lori-Ellen is one of the great people that has been given a healers spirit. I have no issues now with my original injury but still go once a month for maintenance of the spirit and body. I always leave feeling refreshed and balanced. Rested and at peace. I cant recommend Lori-Ellen enough and happily tell as many people as possible about her great skills. As the person in her other review stated, Lori can make you humm :-)

  Lori-Ellen Grant is an amazingly gifted healer who will not only apply a wide range of knowledge of the human body, traditional chinese and western medicine, but also her ability to see you for who you really are to your treatment. If you want the full attention of your practitioner and a wholesome approach to your problems - go and see Lori-Ellen - she will make you humm :) She is also giving her attention more and more to pregnant women, giving birth support and acupuncture and acupressure treatments for birth preparation. You will be in good hands, just visit her and see.
