  The only way to go to Waiheke and Great Barrier Islands, also one of the best alternative to go to Devonport. Located behind the old building, and have a café to satiate your thirst and hunger while waiting for your ferry; and if you get your grocery from farro, you can pick them up at their drop-off/pick-up point just before the entrance.

  Fabulous vibe here, plenty of eateries and close to all public transport (busses, trains and ferries).

  As an inexpensive way to see the bay, a return to Devonport at $12 is a nice way to spend an hour or two. With a little drink at the Esplanade Hotel. If you're planning on taking the sight seeing bus tour, that includes a ferry ride in the price.

  Good terminal that is almost always running to schedule (unlike auckland trains/buses). Can get busy and crowded at peak times, but that pretty much means you might not get a seat while waiting.

  Boat to Devonport which should departure at 5:30pm departure at 5:28:40pm (according to the time from the screen above the counter), they close gates even before and were ignoring people who call them to wait.... very rude. :-/ One good think is that girl from the counter who sold me tickets at 5:15pm was very sweet and kind. When she seen me waiting on the bench and asked me why I’m still here, she promised me that she will speak to her supervisor. 👍🏻
