  I'm quite tall and couldn't find long jeans that fitted me anywhere but came in here and found them in 5 minutes with the help of the staff

  My daughter and I visited this store today, after having called the shop earlier in the week, regarding jeans for a curvy teenage girl with body issues.We found the experience to be fantastic & I do not exaggerate.I have shopped with my size 14/16 often, and generally it has been an unpleasant experience, & on occasion has ended in tears. This has meant my daughter hates shopping for clothing, especially as she is often assisted (not) by very young, thin women lacking in retail skills.However the attitude of Andrew was a radical change. He was genuinely friendly, attentive & put my daughter at ease immediately.He bought a range of clothing to her, & even managed to get her out of her "black" comfort zone.We left having purchased a pair of great jeans & shirt, and with a further 4/5 items on layby.My daughter is now keen to repeat this exercise, and we will shop at Jeans West monthly.Whilst finishing my masters I worked in retail, and I feel that it is a very skilled occupation. A quality sales person/asst manager is an asset, the ability to put people at ease, and have an eye for matching people to clothing is a skill, that many in retail lack. Being able to suggest a person move a size up without causing the person to feel demeaned is also a unique skill. Andrew has all of these skills and more. For the first time in years "clothes shopping with Rose" was a real pleasure and not a trial.Almost entirely thanks to Andrew (the stores asst manager)We are often quick to find fault with others in all sorts of contexts and situations, so I make a point of providing positive feedback when I have the reason & oppurtunity to do so. I have many face book friends whom have teenage daughters who are not stick insects, or do not fit the one size (more or less) sizing mentality that seems to afflict stores such as Jay Jays, Glassons & other stores aimed at young women. They maybe cheaper, but the quality of garments is not good, and the service is hit & miss to say the very least. So thanks very much Jeans West, my daughter is happy and will now return to shopping at brick & mortar stores, especially yours. All thanks to Andrew at Lambton Quay, Wellington.
