::The pros were charming esthetic, nice staff, good wifi, amenities, and convenient location. The cons were that because it's an old building sound travels really well so sleeping can be tough if you're on the first floor day or night. Also like other reviews have said the matresses are in dire need of replacement.

::This is an excellent place to stay. It is exceptionally clean, the staff is amazing, each and everyone one of them. They went beyond the call of duty and cared for each and everyone one of their guests which I witnessed. I being one of them. I was there for a long period of time and it felt like a home away from home. It is close to downtown Octagon, the university and a grocery store , as well as other amenities and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hostel. You will come away with likely at least one new friend, if it isn't a staff person.

::Even before I arrived at this place, I called them when I was at the airport. It was 2am in the morning and I wanted to ask them the earliest I can check in. Firstly, if you don't have 24 hour front desk, put a voice message on about your working hours. But if you pick phone and say "Kiwis nest, how can I help?", you should be polite. I asked this guy, I am supposed to check in at 2pm, how early can I check in? And the guy on phone started hurling abuses at me. He asked me to look at time and said F words. I was shocked to see the customer service. Gentle advice, don't stay at Kiwis nest. If the receptionist on the phone is so horrible and ill mannered, imagine how horrible the service would be.

::Kiwis nest has being a very warm open hearted n welcoming place. I've stayed hia on a number of occasions and so has my mom. The staff and management are very helpful and friendly. Its clean and tidy and i would recommend this place to my friends that will b passing thru

::A lot of reviews talk about the friendly and welcoming staff but that was not my experience. We were treated as second class citizens because we weren’t occupying their most expensive room and told at checkout that we had to “leave the premises immediately”. I’m not sure how a policy of pushing guests (who have conducted themselves according to the hotel rules and have been respectful) out the door constitutes welcoming behavior but it was extremely unpleasant. Otherwise, the premises are clean if not little (very) outdated.
