Booked a triple room in this hostel for 3 nights while househunting in the city. This was the most disgusting Backpackers I have ever been in. A different discusting smell on every floor. The room was tiny, and looked liked it had never been vacuumed, on the wall next to the bed there was what I assumed was bodily fluids dripping down the wall, there were holes in the wall and the beds were horrible,. After living in cheap Backpackers for a year all over Europe, I can quite confidently say that it was definately in the bottom 3. Ended up going down the road and staying in an awesome hotel for an extra $100.

AVOID IF POSSIBLE Decided to stay here as it was centred and we have stayed at other backpackers in the past which were basic and value for money. This place is neither. The facilities were in poor condition , 1 shower out of order leaving 1 to be shared . The bed frames had empty bottles and who knows what else stuffed in them . The noise from a club boomed so late into the night , no sleep could be had until well into the next morning . The passing noise echoed down the corridor and the shouted threats of someone getting a knife to stab someone from just outside our door , left us feeling very unsafe thus we left as soon as we could , after the one night. We complained and put in for a refund at check out and emailed the property but still haven’t heard anything or received any recompense. Even some old stagers who I spoke to thought it was ridiculously noisy. I would advise anyone with a choice to try other backpackers

So so poor service, facilities if you want to book by chance, make sure you got a potable toilet or you need to have patience in queue. So dirty all around, rubbish and even you can fine cigarette buds inside. Very poor, I would not recommend for even short stay.

Its ok. It really isn't a place I would want to occupy for long. But for a week or two to check out Wellington it is perfect.convenient in the city. And cheap! So not bad. Keep the adventure alive!
