::Beautiful, inventive NZ-focused tasting menu. Presented in fun and theatrical ways. Not sure what restaurant the ‘1-star’ reviews went to, but certainly doesn’t represent the Amisfield we went to. We’ve been two times over the past few years, awesome every time. Highly recommended, and decent value for a 7-course lovely meal.

::Food was excellent and wine pairings lovely. All the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Breads and some kind of pork based smoked spread were addictive. Beef cheeks were very good as well. I do recommend making a reservation as they are apparently quite busy on weekends and will usually be unable to accommodate a walk in for lunch. I didn’t make a res (didn’t realize how busy this place was) but was lucky enough to arrive early and get a seat for three course lunch.

::Very disappointing! Wish we had of spent the $650 elsewhere in queenstown. Presentation of the food was great however the food and supposedly matching wines did not match. The only dish that was enjoyable was the freshly baked bread and fish. Wines glasses were dirty. Service was terrible. The maitre d knew we did not enjoy our experience and when we went to pay the bill did not once ask us how our lunch experience was. That was the icing on the cake! The venue / winery is beautiful. I will give it that!

::My second visit to Amisfield was disappointing given it used to be such an institution. The five course meal with matching wines was very hit and miss when it came to food and the wines. The food was still beautifully and some would say artistically presented however most seemed to have forgotten to add flavour and balance to the dishes and on this occasion the 'Trust the Chef' option was not the right choice for myself or my friends. The maître d'hôtel was not welcoming or hospitable and the wait staff seemed to be following suit with the only exception being the barista (who was trying to rectify where possible). I do feel for what you pay per person the price point for is way off and you are better off dropping the $165 - $190 per person elsewhere.

::Amisfield Winery - truly a kitchen for all seasons! We had the signature “Trust the Chef" degustation for lunch. The food was beautifully presented using seasonal local ingredients from the Central Otago region. The service was impeccable and the flavours sensational. We will definitely be back 👌🍷
