::Nice apartments, no frills, good location. Rooms a little tired but overall comfortable.

::Excellent location and great views of the harbour from the rooms. Beds were pretty comfy. Note that there is no airconditioning. So opening a window means letting in noise. Also the rooms could be better maintained. The shower door was broken and bathrooms and floors needed a scrub. Oddly, a spare bed was left in the middle of the room. Overall an OK stay but could have been much better.

::After looking forward to 3 days R n R in Auckland at the Oaks after a fantastic cruise it was disappointing from the moment we walked through the entry. People booking out and cruise people booking in; one person on the front desk, trying to organize everything there wasn't even a secure room for luggage, it was a shambles. As a first time visitor to Auckland and not knowing anything about the city; we were not offered any help nor were we given a map of the city, first impression getting worse by the minute. (Standard answer to everyone come back in 5 hrs) When we finally got into our room it stunk of cigarette smoke; so much for it being non smoking, there was no air conditioning, when you opened a window the noise was unbelievable, oh joy. After 3 sleepless nights in a noisy sweat box that stank like an ash tray; we couldn't wait to leave, the worst part of it staff really didn't care. The en-suit wasn't any better; you had to be a power lifter to flush the toilet, climb into the bath for a shower then risk slipping on the tiles when you got out. To top it off; we had a car booked for 0700 hrs to go to the airport, the car arrived early, the driver went to the desk to inform them that he was there to pick us up, the driver was told that there was no one of that name staying at the hotel, just as well he waited. Fawlty Towers would have been a better option. Very disappointing

::Great location, awesome view from Harbour view room. Good facilities in room. No air conditioning apart from upright floor fan. Very noisy when windows or doors open so either quiet but stuffy or noisy and some air!
