::My husband and I purchased an Entertainment unit on the 4th of October this year and were advised that we would have the unit after 6 weeks, and would receive a call for delivery soon after. But after 8 weeks of waiting, my husband decided to give them a call to check the status of our order. He was told that their warehouse had had a fire, so there is a bit of delay on the delivery. They told us to wait another two weeks. Two weeks passed but we never received a call. So I decided to ring them, and was told to wait for another week. After a further week's wait, I rang them again to check the status. By that time we had had enough waiting and were frustrated with the lack of communication, so we decided to cancel our purchase and request a refund. But their customer representative called my husband, apologising for the delay and offered a guaranteed delivery of the unit by the week before Christmas with a refund on the delivery charge. We agreed to those terms. However by the end of that week we had received no call; which by now represented an all-too-familiar lack of communication. So my husband decided to ring them, and left a message - which yet again elicited no response. So we called them again today and spoke to a representative. She told us that the unit is still in Christchurch; and offered a refund, with an option to proceed with purchase if the unit was to arrive on Monday at their Porirua store. In summary while the store cannot be blamed for a fire at the factory, the delay was far longer than we were prepared to wait for and the lack of communication was very frustrating. Not recommended at all!
