Went in to buy perfume just before Christmas, wanting to replace a few of my Jo Malone's, and was followed around the shop by a woman wearing glitter in place of lipstick. At one point she actively blocked me from looking at a rack of perfume, answered all of my questions with a curt "no", turned away all other customer enquiries with "it's sold out" and then followed me to the door when I got fed up and left. Clearly this is my mistake for not dressing formally with a full face of makeup on my day off. I wrote to their management and never heard back. I then wrote to Jo Malone themselves, who very kindly sent me some samples (and I've already gone and bought the perfumes I was after plus one of the ones I got as a sample from Farmers!) I have no intention of ever going back to DJ - am very happy to hear this place is closing down. What a waste of space.

Excellent service, good products, hard to find our way out of the building, in a fire would be dangerous

Honestly pretty average range of clothes for the labels they carry, I think sometimes you're better to go to the individual stores themselves. Staff are nice, but if you don't give off the vibe that you're there to drop serious cash then the vibe from the staff can be pretty aloof. Online store weirdly feels quite cheap in terms of the design and CX.

Well laid out, with quality merchandise and helpful staff: overall a decent replacement for Wellington's much loved Kircaldie and Stains, in whose place it now stands on Lambton Quay.

I was shocked the first time at the beauty department in the ground floor at the rude way the staff treated me that I rang and complained about it to the store manager. This time I am not shocked, but still puzzled at how they are still in business! So rude and condescending for no reason. The least I can say is that the 'service' is consistent! Farmers is better, but go to Mecca if you want good service and not judged. The staff seem to be annoyed that you are a customer and have come shopping, as if I have stepped into their homes! It's ridiculous.
