::I was really excited to see there was a traditional drumming/percussion store in my home town, Christchurch. From Melbourne visiting friends and family, I checked Google and the company website to ensure the shop was open during my visit to Christchurch - I was eager to stop in and checkout what Gandharva Loka had in stock and possibly pickup a drum. However.... This business fails to communicate their hours of operation to their customers (not every customer reads your blog for opening hours). I arrived at 11am open only to be told that the shop will be closed until 4th January. I would advise to call the store prior to visiting to confirm they are open for trade. Such a simple task can cause huge inconvenience for customers!

::Bought a travel didgeridoo from here about a year back. Very friendly staff and excellent quality instruments. Even if you're just curious, you should pop in - there are loads of wonderful things in the shop

::Fascinating store to browse and try out a huge variety of musical instruments, great for kids too.

::Very knowledgeable people. Lots of instruments and a joy to have a play and also just looking around.
